Screen Making
This unconventional approach to graphic artwork is generated through an abstraction process whereby the perforated sheets eliminate the ground and reduce the figure down to its bare essentials.
Screen cutting combines the expression of halftone images from digital photos, with the intricate detail of paper cutting and machine milling, creating a series of translucent curtain like screen-cuts. Followd by an elaborate manual weeding process a coated screen becomes a tangible, decorative object on its own.
